Stick #48: Let Learning Be Your Foundation (Neutral)
学然后知不足焉，温故知新日日鲜。终身学习是正道，胸有诗书气自妍。
Plain reading
This lot says study shows how much you lack. Review old, grasp new — each day fresh. Lifelong learning is straight road; books in chest refine the spirit.
Interpretation
"Let Learning Be Your Foundation" is a neutral stick. After learning, know insufficiency. Warm old knowledge, daily new — lifelong path. Poetry in breast — air itself finer.
Situation notes
- Career: Learn or lag — daily edge.
- Relationships: Learn listen and speak — fewer wounds.
- Wealth: Learn finance — coin stays, plan grows.
Common misread
Auspicious tiers (such as Neutral) are tone, not a verdict. Name one action you control before redrawing.
Advice
Read or learn daily — little is fine if constant. Learn advances; stop retreats.
Drawn from Analects — "learn and practice" — and Confucius learning from Lao Dan and Tanzi — no age too late.
